Željko is an attorney at law based in Podgorica and plays an active role in BIT’s cross-border work involving Montenegro, particularly in the areas of corporate setup, dispute resolution and enforcement.
He has a broad practice encompassing corporate, commercial, regulatory and dispute resolution matters in Montenegro. He advises leading local and international companies, as well as state entities, on a wide range of legal issues, particularly in the context of foreign investments and cross-border operations.
His experience includes advising on corporate structuring, establishment of companies, and ongoing corporate governance matters, as well as supporting acquisitions and foreign direct investments in Montenegro. He regularly assists clients in navigating the local regulatory framework and ensuring compliance with Montenegrin legal requirements.
In addition to his advisory work, Željko has significant experience in arbitration, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He represents clients in complex, high-value arbitration disputes and litigation matters before Montenegrin courts and authorities, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and enforcement proceedings.
Željko also advises on recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, and is well acquainted with legal procedures and practice before Montenegrin courts and administrative bodies. His combined experience enables him to provide comprehensive and practical legal solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives.
