Regional ACES conference FUTURE TRENDS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

The Regional ACES conference, held on 10 and 11 October 2024 at the Sava Center, gathered over 40 distinguished speakers, including experts from various fields and more than 300 attendees, reaffirming its status as the most significant event of its kind in the country.
One of the prominent topics of the conference was addressed during Session 5, which focused on alternative dispute resolution as an essential mechanism for resolving disputes in the construction sector.
The panel was moderated by Katarina Obradović Baklaja, President of the CDRC, a member of the ACES Board of Directors, and a partner at BIT Law office. This panel provided valuable insights into the practical application of ADR, emphasizing its role in simplifying dispute resolution, reducing costs, and improving project execution. Particular attention was drawn to the importance of work of Dispute adjudication boards (DAB) and efficient mothods of execution of its decisions.
In addition to ADR, the conference covered other significant topics such as public procurement, the application of FIDIC models, artificial intelligence and digital tools in construction, as well as strategies for managing price adjustments and other uncertainties that may arise during project implementation.
